Our wedding!

I know a bunch of you have been waiting for this post -- I finally had time to get it together!

Ken and I were married on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Brick Street Inn in Zionsville, Indiana. Our wedding day was the best day of my life to date! Noah Grant's catered the reception and it was absolutely delicious! We even had a custom sushi tower, complete with several kinds of sushi including 2 kinds of vegetarian sushi for me. My favorite roll (the green market roll) was a real hit. If you love sushi and really fresh ingredients, check out Noah Grant's in downtown Zionsville. Oh, and they make the best mushrooms rockefeller I have ever had!

Our good friends Jake Gardner and Justin Axline were our photographers for the day. We are lucky to have such talented friends!

We ordered our custom designed invitations from evapaul on Etsy. Nic and Kirsten, a husband and wife team, were such a joy to work with! Ken and I wanted something modern as well as classic, so we went with black and white 6x6 square invitations. Everyone loved them! Photo by Jake Gardner.

Kelli at McNamara coordinated all of our florals. She worked hard to find me the exact flowers I wanted. In November, yellow dahlias were out of season, but Kelli worked her magic and found some! My monochromatic bouquet consisted of dahlias, gerberas, viking poms, and craspedia. Photo by Jake Gardner.

The AMAZING Kiralee Hubbard of EyeMAX Makeup Artisty made me look good! She is so fabulous, so sweet, and so good at what she does!!! Brooke Graham (Texture Salon) did my hair. She rocks! Photo by Jake Gardner.

My kitchen has great light! Photo by Jake Gardner.

I love getting ready shots! Photo by Jake Gardner.

My sister, Lizzee, helped me get into my wedding gown. I think Jake shot this one, too.

When I was ready, I found a little gift from my sweet Ken. Inside the little blue box was the sweetest pair of dragonfly earrings. I love them and wore them that day! (And every day after that for months!) Photo by Jake Gardner.

My sexy Bandolinos. Ken actually picked them out. The poor shoes got trashed by the end of the night, though! Photo by Jake Gardner.

I really love my ring. Photo by Jake Gardner.

Another shot of my ring. Photo by Jake Gardner.

Jake snagged this shot of me.

And I think Jake shot this one, too.

Meanwhile, Justin was shooting Ken.

I seriously married the hottest guy in the world!!! Photo by Justin Axline.

We had to show off Ken's shoes. He was proud of that purchase. Photo by Jake Gardner.

There's a funny story behind this photo. You'd never know it (because I cropped it out), but Justin is actually attempting to bustle me. After a few minutes, Jake and Ken joined in on the bustling fun, but no one could figure it out. What a sight that must have been -- 3 guys trying to bustle me in the middle of the street in downtown Indianapolis! Photo by Jake Gardner.

I love this photo that Jake shot.

I love this one too. Photo by Jake Gardner.

I dragged the guys to my secret location to get this one. It's one of my favorites of the day. Love love love it!!! The light is always so great there! Photo by Jake Gardner.

See? What did I just say about the light? Love it! Thanks, Jake, for the awesome photo!

This one makes me smile. I think Jake shot it. I can't remember!

FAVORITE! The funny thing is, we didn't even know we were being photographed here. Sneaky, sneaky photographer! Oh how I love this photo!!! Photo by Justin Axline.

Justin shot us by a garage in an alley -- how fun!

Justin shot this one too. I love it!!!

Kissing on the streets of downtown Zionsville, captured by Jake Gardner.

Oh the cake. The yummy yuumy cake. I cannot say enough good things about Classic Cakes in Carmel. They do such a fabulous job! The cake was all Ken and it was one of the most important things to him. We selected 3 different flavors -- white with raspberry filling, lemon, and raspberry sour cream. The cake was to die for. Our guests all wanted seconds! Photo by Jake Gardner.

Yummy. I want some more cake! Photo by Jake Gardner.

McNamara handled the flowers at the reception too. We wanted the flowers to seem natural and fresh, like they were just hand picked. I had been collecting vintage milk glass vases to use for the centerpieces. Each vase was different and each held different flowers. Photo by Jake Gardner.

I hand crafted our menu cards, the table numbers, and the sushi menus. I used our wedding logo and printed the details on heavy yellow card stock and then rounded the corners. We loved this look! Photo by Jake Gardner.

I ordered these hand crafted pennyfarthing tags from dandeedesigns on Etsy and used them to create our favors. I then cut the tags and stamped "sweet" to finish them off. We really liked the vintage but modern feel of our place settings. Photo by Jake Gardner.

The guests had fun blowing bubbles at us. I love the happiness in this photo! Photo by Jake Gardner.

Justin drew a Just Married sign for us. Isn't it fabulous? He is soooo talented! Photo by Justin Axline.

A close up of the awesome sign on my vintage bicycle. I don't remember who shot this one. Sorry guys!

If you have any questions about any of these vendors, just let me know. We had a fabulous day and I am so excited to finally share our wedding with you!
