Kasia + Jade

Laughter makes my heart warm. It makes me smile a big smile. As a photographer, I love everything about genuine laughter because it's soulful. Kasia and Jade's fall wedding had no shortage of laughter and that made me a very happy photographer!

You can never go wrong with classic black and white getting ready shots. Kasia, you are radiant. Lindsey Ayers did an amazing job with Kasia's makeup.

I love that Kasia and Jade had their first look on their front porch.

Handsome groom.

We shot these in the back yard while waiting on the limo. It was such a beautiful fall day.

We all headed out to Martha's Orchard (one of my favorite venues) for some photos before the ceremony. I love everything about this photo -- the trees, pumpkins, laughter.

Perfection.

Kathy's Kloset of Flowers did an amazing job with the flowers.

See why I love Martha's Orchard so much?

I'm in love with the "almost kiss" because it's always such a sweet moment. It gets me every time!

This has to be one of my favorites from the day. I think it's the perfect fall wedding photo.

I made Kasia stand by a heaping pile of rusty junk and I'm so happy she was up for it! The light was AMAZING over there. I'm in love with this entire series -- they would look fantastic together in an album.

I don't think love gets any sweeter than this!

Another favorite.

Oh the ceremony! We have been so blessed this year to photograph several amazing outdoor ceremonies. You really can't beat that natural light!

It was like a fairy tale.

Of course Ken had to get his famous kissing shots!

Family portraits don't have to be boring.

We shot until it got dark (which wasn't too much later after the ceremony).

I wish we had more than 10 minutes of this kind of light in the evenings! It's gorgeous.

Since I have already posted a ton of photos, I'm going to leave you with a couple details from the reception. Don't you just love their pumpkin center pieces?! Tara from Posh Parties of Indy made sure all the details were just perfect and that the day ran smoothly. It was great working with you, Tara!

I saved the best for last. Part of the reason I love my job so much is because I get to eat cake pretty much every weekend! HA. Sweet Seductions did not disappoint!

Kasia and Jade, it was a real pleasure working with you. Ken and I had so much fun spending the day with you! You are an amazing couple and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!!!

I'm baaaaaaack!

Okay, so I didn't know that when we were out of town we wouldn't have access to the internet the entire time! Please forgive me for yet another week of no blogging. I gotta get with the program, eh? I have so much to blog, including a contest / giveaway later this week, but first I thought I would give you all a sneak preview of the wedding I plan on blogging next (hopefully tomorrow). I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We definitely ate too much but 'tis the season, right?

Without further ado, here is one of my favorites from Kasia and Jade's perfect fall wedding.

our holiday card!

I can't believe it's been a whole week since I have posted a blog. Sheesh. I have been working really hard to fill holiday demands, so I apologize for neglecting my blog once again. I have so much to share with you -- weddings, seniors, kids, families, and more!

I think everyone has received our holiday card by now, so it should be safe to blog about it.

And, here's a little peek at what I have been up to tonight. Yes, I finally started my holiday baking.

Stay tuned in to the blog because I am posting a blog contest / giveaway very soon!

Melissa + Mike

I have been so excited to share this beautiful Brown County wedding with you. Everything about Melissa and Mike's day was absolutely perfect!

The girls and guys got ready in separate cabins at Brown County State Park. I shot this photo of Melissa's gown on the front porch of her cabin. There is something so simple that I love about this image.

The Village Florist provided the gorgeous bouquets.

I loved the ethereal feeling of Melissa's bouquet.

All hand on deck! I always enjoy this part of the day.

Melissa, you are gorgeous! Euphoria Salon did a fantastic job with Melissa's hair.

You really can't go wrong with a Brown County wedding.

Hi, Mike!

This is one of my favorites from the day. It's a real moment and Melissa looks radiant! She had just stepped into the limo and was on her way to the ceremony.

Melissa's mom made the ceremony programs. Aren't they fabulous?

The ceremony took place at the Nature Center Ampitheater and it was one of my favorite ceremony locations to date. Just wait until you see it!

I love everything about this moment.

And this one too.

Melissa's aunt performed the ceremony and it was just perfect.

I told you this place is amazing! Props to Jake for capturing this shot of the ceremony. I love it!

The new Mr. and Mrs.!

Definitely a favorite.

Another favorite!

Love the light peeking through the trees.

Mike couldn't keep his eyes off her.

Meet fierce Melissa. Ha! I love it.

Melissa's veil was to die for. Seriously!

We shot until we ran out of light.

Melissa's aunt who performed the wedding ceremony also grew the dahlias used at the reception. She cut them very early in the morning and drove them to the wedding all the way from Michigan. The flowers were gorgeous and each guest received one. The green was my favorite because I had never seen one that color before. I kept mine alive in its vase on my kitchen window sill for about 2 weeks. Next year I am going to look for green dahlias to plant in our garden. I love them!

What a sweet first dance. Notice the fabulous lanterns in the background? Melissa's brothers hung them from the ceiling on the day of the wedding using a tennis ball and twine contraption.

This photo is pure happiness. Just look at them!

Karen Murray, the aunt of Melissa's good friend, did an amazing job with the cupcakes! I was in awe when I saw them. And, they were delicious!

Yum.

Melissa and Mike, Jake and I truly enjoyed spending the day with you. We were so thrilled that even though it has been raining nonstop for days, the sky was clear on your wedding day. Everything was perfect and it amazed us to see your entire family come together to make your wedding day possible. Thank you so much for having us capture your day for you!
