just a few snapshots

I thought I would share a few snapshots from our visit to Traders Point Creamery this afternoon.  I didn't worry about what Wyatt was wearing or brushing his crazy hair (I know, I know, he needs another haircut)...I just followed him around with my camera and snapped a few pictures.  The only reason I even brought the big camera was because my iPhone is out of memory!  (Gotta do some downloading soon...haha.)

Wyatt is just shy of 20 months and was completely fascinated with the cows and chickens.  (He loves our garden, too.  Maybe he would like to live on a farm?!)

He was calling and chasing the chickens here.

Sloane

When I found out the Ariane and Brian were expecting, I was over the moon excited for them.  I just love watching families grow.  We were supposed to have a maternity session, but little Sloane had other plans and showed up a few weeks early (on the exact day that I was supposed to photograph Ariane's baby bump)!   I got to meet Sloane when she was just four days old.  She was so tiny and slept through most of the session.  Here are just a few of my favorites.

Isn't this wall in her nursery gorgeous?!

Perfection.

Seriously cute squishy face!

She got all that blonde hair from her dada.

Brian wanted a photo with Sloane's eyes open, and wouldn't you know it, she opened them for this photo.

This is one of my favorite family photos ever.

Love, love, love.

Sweet little swaddled peanut.

Ariane and Bria, congratulations on the newest addition of your family.  She is perfect in every way!

Jenny + Ryan + Gwen

I had heard so much about Ms. Gwen and was so excited to finally meet her.  She is a lucky girl to have found her forever home with Jenny and Ryan, who are crazy about her.  Here are just a few of my favorites from their engagement session -- enjoy!

As you can see, Gwen is having the time of her life while sniffing the ground.

Love this sweet family photo.

Little Ms. Gwen is so photogenic.

Told you.

Adore this next series.

After leaving the park, we walked around downtown Franklin for a few photos with just Jenny and Ryan.

Love!  This would be so fun on a canvas.

Can't wait to see you in your wedding dress, Jenny!

Just as the sun was setting, we found some train tracks at Franklin College.  Perfect timing.

This photo makes me happy.

So does this photo.

Thanks for a fun evening!  (And thank you for the DQ Blizzard...yum!)  Looking forward to hanging out with you again in September for the big day!!!

our summer

It's been awhile since I have posted anything personal, so I thought I would give you a little glimpse of our summer so far via Instagram.  We have been busy, busy, busy with weddings and sessions, but we have managed to find a little time for fun!  We built Wyatt a library (he is a total bookworm), read lots of books, expanded our backyard garden (it's 20 feet long now!), baked cupcakes, went to the pool, make sidewalk chalk pet rocks, went to a giant rummage sale where we found a cozy coupe for $5, ate from our garden, went to the zoo, Wyatt had his first haircut (thanks, Marla!), and I got layers cut into my hair (thanks, Tatyana!).  Maybe I should do these little collages more often. Hope you all are enjoying your summer!!!

Barb + Ron

I have been so excited to share Barb and Ron's lovely Lafayette wedding with you!  I had a difficult time narrowing down photos for their blog post, so please be patient as the images load.

I love capturing quiet moments in a mirror, like this one of Barb's daughter helping her with her veil.

Guys and bowties...love!
Hello there, gorgeous purple heels!

Barb glowed the entire day, which made my job easy!

Speaking of glowing, I had never met a groom before who was so excited for wedding photographs!  More grooms should be like Ron!!!

Really dig this candid that Ken caught.

Fun socks...yes, please!

Ron's reaction to seeing Barb for the first time.  Could he be cheesing any bigger?!

Their ceremony was held at First Christian Church in downtown Lafayette and it was just perfect.

After the ceremony, we had fun taking photos while walking over to the reception at the Lahr.  This is pretty much my favorite way to shoot wedding photos!

       Love this series!!!

Favorite.

Adore everything about this!

We had to sneak in a couple portraits, of course.

Family photo time!

Dinner was way too pretty and just begging to be photographed.

Courtney and Ryan (guests at the wedding, past clients, and matchmakers for Barb and Ron) wanted a quick portrait.  I was happy to oblige especially since Courtney was wearing a killer dress.  (Thanks, guys, for the referral!!!)

First dance!

Barb and Ron, thank you so much for asking us to capture your wedding day.  We enjoyed every minute of it!  We wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness.  xoxo
