Kayla + Peter

Words cannot express the love that radiated throughout Kayla and Peter's wedding day.  There were happy tears, giggling fits, and outbursts of laughter the entire day...and Ken and I got to capture it all in photographs!  As always, I had a difficult time narrowing down photos for the blog.  Here are just a few of our favorites from the day. (Please be patient while the photos load -- there are over 40.)

I always love photos of the bride getting ready.  Kayla was so calm during this process -- I think she was just soaking it all in!  Headcase Salon in Noblesville provided hair and makeup for the girls.  The owner, Missy McCoy, did Kayla's hair.

Just a warning -- you are going to see lots of photos of the flowers in this blog post.  That's because McNamara in Carmel did such a wonderful job!  (They always do!!!)

Kayla and Peter crafted their invitations and programs and did a wonderful job.  It made me smile when I saw how they incorporated some of their engagement photos into the wedding.

Vintage cuff links...love.

If you thought the ring photos above were gorgeous, check out the details here!

Really love this photo of Peter with his mom.

 Handsome groom!

Kayla, you are gorgeous.

Just minutes before the ceremony began...

St. Malachy is such a gorgeous church.

Ken caught Peter's reaction to seeing Kayla for the first time.    I would say he is excited to see her!!!

Told you there were outbursts of laughter!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Yes, this wedding took place in Indiana.  Yes, it was in July.   Thank you, drought, for the Serengeti-like scenery.  We had fun with it!

A favorite for sure.

Favorite.

So hard to believe that this was taken during Summer in Indiana!

Love.

We headed over to the Scottish Rite Cathedral for the reception and were able to sneak away for a few more photos.

TODD by Thomas provided the delicious cake and cupcakes.   The filled lemon cupcake melted in my mouth.

"Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you..."

Yup...you guessed it!  Kayla and Peter's first dance was Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine and it was perfect.  I can't decide what I love most about this photo -- how Peter is looking at Kayla while she sings along, or the look on Kayla's mom's face as she watches her daughter dance with her new husband for the first time.

These are just some of the tears I mentioned early on.

And we are back to laughing!!!

Kayla and Peter, we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to be part of your wedding day.  It was perfect in every way!  We wish you a lifetime of love, happy tears, and laughter!!!

P.S.  Happy 1 month anniversary!!!
