Courtney + Ryan
Courtney and Ryan are two of the most genuine people I know. Both of them are wicked smart and Courtney makes the best cookies under the sun. Good thing she's such a great baker, because the word on the street is that Ryan loves cookies! (So does Ken. When Courtney baked cookies for Ken and me, I think Ken ate 95% of them...in one day.)
I'm changing things up a bit and starting out with my absolute favorite engagement photo I have ever taken. Yes, I just went there. It is my favorite and I am ordering a canvas of this photo for my new studio gallery. I love that MG!

Another favorite.

I adore the way Ryan is looking at her in this one.

Doesn't Courtney's red sweater pop?

After spending some time downtown, we headed back to their Broad Ripple house to finish the session. I think it is so great when couples interject their personal touches in their sessions!

Seriously...I want that car!

So so so sweet. I love everything about this photo.

As it was getting dark, we ended the session with this sweet moment.

Courtney and Ryan, I had a blast! Can't wait for the wedding in June!!!
P.S. Courtney, feel free to bake us some more cookies whenever you want. Maybe I should hide them from Ken this time...

Jessica + Kevin
Jessica and Kevin contacted me all the way from Colorado to shoot their wedding at the Indianapolis Zoo. Another bride and groom had just pushed their wedding back, so I happened to be free on their date. We all decided it was meant to be. I was so happy to meet and work with such a wonderful couple! When Ken and I arrived at the Zoo, Jess greeted me with the biggest hug and smile. She was glowing!
Jess made the bouquets -- aren't they gorgeous?

I loved their rings.

Jessica and Kevin were married on one of the hottest days of the year, but they were troopers and we rocked the photos! I don't like to play favorites, but Jessica's Monique Lhullier gown was the most gorgeous gown I had ever seen. I loved the rosettes and the detail on the shoulder.

Kevin, you are one lucky guy!

Since it was so hot, we stepped into the shade for a few photos. The Zoo's Wedding Garden had so many nooks and crannies. It was a photographer's dream!

Handsome groom!

This is Diego, Kevin's nephew, just a few minutes before the ceremony. What a cutie!

While I was with the girls, Ken caught this sweet moment of Kevin and his mom as he escorted her down the aisle. I love it!

These next two are timeless.

While I was with Jess and her dad, Ken was busy capturing Kevin's reaction to seeing Jess for the very first time that day. He doesn't look excited or anything. *wink*

I do! (Captured by Ken, the master of ceremony kissing shots.)

This is happiness...pure happiness!

Everyone should have a bagpiper! What a cool touch.

The bridesmaids' dresses really pop!

So sweet!

This photo isn't perfect but I love it anyway. Kids will be kids!

Definitely one of my favorites of the day.

Another favorite.

Can I have three favorites?

I'm sorry -- I just had to post this because it still makes me laugh!

I don't know who made the cake, but it sure was pretty!

Their olive oil favors were fitting since Kevin is a chef. (Lucky Jess!!!)

First dance:

Mother son dance:

Aaaaaannnnnd...the party has started!

Even Kevin's mom got in on the action!

"Don't stop believin'!!!!!"

Fun DJ lights, glow necklaces, inflatable instruments...yeah, it was a good time!

Jessica and Kevin, thank you so much for having us share your day with you! Everything was so perfect and your reception was a blast! We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and good eating.
